New Year, New Machines at Thomas Brown Engineering
Here at Thomas Brown Engineering we are starting 2017 on a high as we receive delivery of two new workhorses to our machine shop.
A new Star SR-20R IV CNC Sliding headstock Lathe will work alongside our existing Star machine to provide excellent accuracy for repetition turned/milled parts. These machines offer fast cycle times and reliability in a lights out situation, meaning we can offer competitive pricing to our customers.
Alongside this we have purchased a Doosan Puma 3100Y CNC Lathe. This C and Y axis machine offers a large capacity with a maximum turned diameter of 525mm and Z axis of 850mm long. This machine will complement our current Victor V Turn Lathe as both will deliver the extra power required to accurately machine larger parts.
We have been aided in these recent investments by Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership (LEP). We have received a grant from the Business Growth Programme to help us with our growth aspirations and create new jobs in the region.
We extend an invitation to all our customers, both old and new to come and visit us and see for yourself some of the impressive machinery and resources that we are able to offer.
