‘The Toyota Way’ Our tour of Toyota Motor Vehicle Manufacturing UK

We spent a very enjoyable day, with other Make UK members, at the Toyota Motor Manufacturing UK site in Burnaston, Derbyshire.
Huge thanks to The Toyota Lean Management Centre team for hosting a tour of their manufacturing facilities and showing us how they develop their people and culture, the ‘Toyota Way’.
Thanks also to Oliver Conger of British Rototherm Group who shared with us his company’s lean journey. Like us, Rototherm use the Paul Akers inspired ‘2 second lean’ approach to their continuous improvement activity.
We were provided with some great inspiration for our own lean improvement activity at TBE.
