CNC Turner - Programmer/Setter/Operator

Do you have excellent CNC programming and machining skills, a background in a sub-contract environment and a commitment to continuous improvement?

We’re looking for an enthusiastic CNC Turner - Programmer/Setter/Operator to join the team at our modern Huddersfield site, on a full time, permanent basis, working the day shift 4 days a week. In return, as our CNC Turner we will offer you a basic salary of up to £31,700, plus excellent benefits including:
- Friday overtime available @ rate plus half + generous company bonus of up to 20% of basic earnings.
- Basic week working hours Mon – Thurs 7am – 5pm (38 hrs)

Our CNC Turning department houses a wide variety of machines including multi axis turn/mill lathes and sliding head lathes. This role would suit someone who enjoys variety and who seeks to further develop their own skill set, whilst providing excellent service to our customers.

Duties of our CNC Turner - Programmer/Setter/Operator:
- Seeking daily continuous improvements, bringing these to our daily meeting and showing a commitment to our lean culture
- Programming CNC Machines from engineering drawings
- Setting and operating the machines
- Working to tight tolerances and checking own work before it is taken to our quality control department
- Accurately completing work logs and computerised tooling sheets

The type of CNC Turner - Programmer/Setter/Operator we look for:
- CNC Programming experience with Fanuc control
- Experience working within a sub –contracting environment or good experience within precision engineering
- Team player who is flexible with a “can-do” attitude
- Pays attention to detail and has the desire to offer a consistently high quality product to our customers
