Yesterday we spent an enjoyable morning with Make UK at the fabulous Thomas Broadbent Centrifuges. The topic of discussion was the importance of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) aspects of business and how it affects the supply chain. Thank you to Andrew Kinniburgh of Make UK Defence and the other speakers for sharing their insights on this subject.
Thomas Broadbent Centrifuges is just up the road from us and is a true Huddersfield business success story. It was a pleasure to take a tour around their facility and learn more about their products and their 160-year history.
It was particularly interesting for Tom as this is where his career started. Tom completed his apprenticeship at Thomas Broadbent & Sons, so this was a nostalgic morning for him. Many thanks to Ian Livesey, joint MD, and his team for sharing their success story.
